Funerals at Trinity Lutheran Church
38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
At Trinity, we are blessed to have a beautiful facility and are honored to share it with others, especially for funerals. While we host many member funerals, we are also willing and able to host non-member funerals.
While often under short notice, our pastor is ready to work with your funeral home to finalize arrangements related to visitation and the service at Trinity. Typical funeral service times on weekdays are 10:00 or 10:30 AM, with some sort of visitation occurring one hour before our service. Saturday services are also an option if weekday options do not work for your family. Sunday services present a multitude of challenges and are not suggested.
After the funeral, we are able to offer a meal or refreshments of your choice for a very reasonable cost. After funeral arrangements are confirmed with the pastor, our funeral meal coordinator, Deanna Freese-Miller, will contact your family to make meal arrangements. Past meal options include cold meat or pulled pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, various salads, and a plethora of delicious homemade “Lutheran” deserts. Coffee is also included. (An approximate $3.00-5.00 per person is a range to consider for meals but costs are determined by food choices and current market prices.)
Fees to Expect:
Plan for the funeral service organist and any special music for the service. Honorariums for the pastor and women’s group are recommended.
